For the last 3 years I’ve been with partypoker there have always been lots of changes to the schedule. Things had to change dynamically and dramatically because things change – WSOP comes round, other sites change things, players go hot and cold etc.
Over the last 6 months or so things haven’t really been changing much and to be honest, whilst I do appreciate and understand change, I also think “knowing what’s on” is important for a site’s customers. You don’t want to plan your day to rush home for your favourite tournament of the week on Wednesday to see it has been changed to Tuesday 4 hours later!
In the last couple of weeks partypoker have revamped the daily schedule but sticking to what they’ve been doing recently and hopefully this means it will be easier for players to find what’s going on. If you want to see what the schedule looks like check out the site or the Daily Specials tab in the client, where they have a mix of both Classic vanilla tournaments and Bounty Hunters.
I particularly like the Gladiator theme on the site, I think 6-max is for sure the best format for PKOs. I’ve played thousands of PKOs on all different kinds of sites and I can say with certainty that the action I’ve seen in the Gladiators is for sure the loosest and craziest I’ve seen, which is perfect for the format.
I also really enjoy the theme of the Classic vanilla tournaments, I think what a vanilla tournament player wants and what a PKO tournament player wants are very different and its crazy to me if sites don’t understand that. Our Classic vanilla tournaments have good structures, are typically more 8 handed and give you a really good experience for your money, where you can enjoy the structure and not be forced to rush to put your chips in.
I was fortunate enough to win the $530 Phase this Sunday for $39,000 and I think Phases are the future of the Classic tournament format. Allowing players to come in from all levels boosts the guarantees and allows both beginners to test their feet with the pros for a fraction of the target buy-in. It also brings in new blood for regular players.
Speaking of Classic games, our Big Game every Sunday is the best high stakes action on the internet.
To mark the revamp of the daily schedule, partypoker are running a special $500K MTT promo, which involves $100K freerolls, an early bird promo and an MTT leaderboard. It’s definitely worth checking out.
I can’t finish without asking for you to continue supporting the partypoker MILLION – the best flighted tournament on the internet. There are no re-entries in the individual flights and that means every week we see different people contesting for ridiculous money. First place is usually $150,000 and its pretty easy to qualify if you try during the week. There are always feeders and flights running so plenty of opportunities to qualify.
I will be making more blog posts in 2020, I have so many things I’m looking forward to both at partypoker and in my life away from it. If you ever have problems or suggestions, feel free to hit me up on Twitter and I’m usually quick to respond. Any bashing of my FIFA team or my music choices and you’ll be muted though!
Welcome to my Team partypoker blog where I’ll be writing about my recent activity and upcoming plans.
